10. Conditions of the Examination :-
	
I.	 All the required qualifications for the post shall be fulfilled as at 12.10.2026. The applicants who have not secured 
prescribed qualifications are not eligible for the appointment even though they obtain adequate marks in the 
examination.
	
II.	 The applications which are not prepared in compliance to the specimen form appended hereto and incomplete 
applications are rejected without any notification.
	
III.	 Receipt of application will not be acknowledged and applications received after closing date will not be accepted.
	
IV.	 Applicants who have submitted duly completed applications will be called for the competitive examination on the 
assumption that only those who possess the qualifications specified in the Gazette Notification have applied. The 
applicants will be informed accordingly at the address stated in the application.
	
V.	 The competitive examination for recruitment consists of two parts, namely the Written Examination and the 
Practical Vocational Test.
	
VI.	 The Written Examination will be conducted first, and from among the candidates who pass it, twice the number 
of candidates intended to be recruited will be called for the Practical Vocational Test in order of merit based on 
the marks obtained by them. Candidates who pass the Practical Vocational Test will be called for the interview in 
order of merit based on the total marks obtained at the Written Examination. From among them, candidates who 
have fulfilled the required qualifications will be selected, and the candidates so selected will be appointed to fill 
the vacancies in the Ministry of Health and Mass Media and the hospitals and institutions under its purview.
	
VII.	 The examination will be held in Sinhala, Tamil and English mediums. Candidates may sit the examination in any 
one of the mediums of their choice. Once selected, the medium of language shall not be changed subsequently. 
Candidates shall answer all question papers of the examination in the same medium.
N.B.:-
(a)	The applicant should ensure that every section of the application has been completed and that the information 
provided is accurate.
(b)	The applications of the applicants, who fail to furnish relevant documents thereto when requested, will not be 
entertained. Applicants shall not annex any document or copy which is not relevant to the application.
(c)	Complaints on a loss of application or a letter related in the post will not be entertained. Any loss or damage that 
may arise due to delaying the submission of applications until the closing date shall be borne by the applicants 
themselves.
(d)	The number of candidates to be called for the interview, the number of candidates to be appointed to the posts, and 
the effective date of the appointments shall be determined by the Appointing Authority. The Appointing Authority 
reserves the right not to fill any or all of the vacancies.
(e)	If any issue arises regarding any matter relating to the recruitment to this post, whether covered or not covered by 
this Gazette Notification, the decision of the Secretary to the Ministry of Health and Mass Media shall be the final 
decision. In the event of any discrepancy, inconsistency or contradiction among the Sinhala, Tamil and English 
texts of this Notification, the Sinhala text shall prevail.
