06.  Method of Application :
	
(a)	 Applicants should prepare their applications in accordance with the specimen application attached hereto and 
indicate “Recruitment to the Post of Electro-Medical Technician in the Management Assistant Technical Segment 
– 03 Service Category of the Ministry of Health and Mass Media (Open) – 2026” on the top left-hand corner of 
the envelope containing the application and send it by registered post to the Secretary, Ministry of Health and 
Mass Media, Admin 07, No. 106, Dudley Senanayake Mawatha, Colombo 08 before …..... 2026
	
(b)	 The closing date of application is :   12th October, 2026
	
(c)	 The examination fee is Rs. 1,000.00. This amount should be paid at any branch of the Bank of Ceylon to be 
credited to Account No. 7041318 maintained in the name of the Secretary, Ministry of Health and Mass Media, at 
the Thaproban Branch of the Bank of Ceylon, and the receipt obtained should be firmly affixed within the space 
provided in the specimen application. The examination fee will not be refunded for any reason or considered valid 
for any other examination or purpose. It is also advisable to retain a copy of the application and the receipt for the 
payment. (Money orders and stamps will not be accepted.)
	
(d)	 When preparing the application, the name of the examination stated in the heading should be given in English 
in addition to Sinhala in applications prepared in Sinhala, and in English in addition to Tamil in applications 
prepared in Tamil.
	
(e)	 Any alterations are not considered after forwarding applications.
07. Identity of Candidates 
Candidates shall prove their identity to the satisfaction of the Supervisor of the Examination Hall for each subject they 
sit in the examination hall. Any of the following documents will be accepted for this purpose:
	
I.	 National Identity Card
	
II.	 Valid Passport
	
III.	 Valid Sri Lankan Driving License
Furthermore, candidates shall enter the examination hall without covering their face and both ears so as to verify their 
identity. Candidates who refuse to prove their identity so will not be permitted to enter into the examination hall. 
Further, from the moment of entering the examination hall till leaving after the examination, candidate shall not cover 
the face and both ears enabling the Examination Authorities to identify the candidate. Any other instructions relating the 
examination will be notified through the admission card. Similarly, the Supervisor of Examination has the authority to 
refuse admission or remove from the examination hall any candidate who fails to comply with these terms.
08. Attestation of Signature
	
The signature of the applicant should be certified by a Principal of a Government school, a Justice of the Peace, a 
Commissioner for Oaths, an Attorney-at-Law, a Notary Public, a commissioned officer of the Armed Forces, a Gazetted 
Officer of the Police Service, or an officer in the staff grade holding a permanent post in the Sri Lanka Administrative 
Service/ Sri Lanka Educational Administrative Service/ Government Accountants’ Service/ or holding a permanent 
Government post with a basic annual salary exceeding Rs. 854,880/-.
09. Providing False Information
	
Applications shall be carefully furnished with accurate information. If any information furnished by any candidate is 
found to be false before the appointment, his/ her candidature will be cancelled. If any such information is disclosed after 
the appointment, action will be taken to dismiss the candidate from service subject to relevant legal action.
