Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to the Post of Electro-Medical Technician Grade III in 
the Management Assistant Technical Segment – 03 Service Category of the Ministry of Health and Mass 
Media – 2026
APPLICATIONS are invited from qualified applicants for existing 64 vacancies in the post of Electro-Medical Technician 
in the Management Assistant Technical Segment – 03 Service Category of the Ministry of Health and Mass Media and the 
hospitals and institutions under its purview.
02.	Required Qualifications :
2.1.	 Educational and Vocational Qualifications

Vocational Qualifications
Having passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in 
six (06) subjects at one sitting with credit passes 
in Sinhala/Tamil/English Language, Mathematics 
and two other subjects.
OR
Possess National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) 
Level 03.
01.	 Having completed one of the following courses 
that includes National Vocational Qualification 
(NVQ) Level 05, offered by an institution under the 
Department of Technical Education and Training or 
an institution recommended by the said Department.
              i.	 Three-Year Part-Time National Certificate 
in Technology (Electrical & Electronic 
Engineering)
             ii.	 Two-Year Full-Time National Certificate in 
Industrial Technology (Electrical & Electronic 
Engineering)
            iii.	 Two-Year Full-Time National Diploma in 
Electrical Technology
            iv.	 Two-Year 
Full-Time 
National 
Certificate 
in 
Electrical 
Technology 
OR
02.	 Having completed one of the following courses at 
National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 
05 offered by the Industrial Engineering Training 
Institute in Moratuwa.
            i.   Electronics Craftsman Course
           ii.   Electrician Course
OR
03.	 Having completed one of the following courses at 
National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 05 
offered by an institution under the purview of the 
Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission or an 
institution recommended by the said Commission.
             i.	 National Diploma in Electrical Technology 
(Full-Time)
            ii.	 Diploma in Electrical Technology
           iii.	 Diploma in Electrical Technology (03 Years 
Part-Time)
