09.	 Examination fees
Examination fee is Rs. 500.00. This examination fee should be credited via any branch of Bank of Ceylon to Account 
No. 7042571 maintained at the Battaramulla Branch of Bank of Ceylon in favour of “Land Commissioner General, 
Land Commissioner General’s Department” and the bank slip obtained should be affixed firmly in the space 
provided in the application form. Please note that no additional charges will be levied apart from this examination 
fee. The fee paid for this examination will not be refunded, either in full or in part, under any circumstances. It will be 
useful to retain a photocopy of the payment receipt.
10.	 Submission of Applications
(a)	 The application should be prepared so that headings 01 to 04 appear on the first page and the remaining sections 
on the subsequent pages. The relevant information must be completed clearly in the applicant’s own handwriting. 
The name of the examination stated in the heading of the application must be written in English in addition to 
Sinhala in Sinhala applications and in English in addition to Tamil in Tamil applications. Incomplete applications 
and applications that do not conform to the specimen application published in this notification will be rejected 
without notice. Therefore, before submission, applicants should carefully verify that the application conforms to 
the specimen application in the Gazette notification, has been completed correctly with all required information, 
and that the prescribed examination fee has been paid, the relevant details entered in the application, and the 
receipt affixed. Applicants are also advised to retain a photocopy of the completed application for future reference.
(b)	 The application, prepared in accordance with the specimen attached to this notification, should be sent by registered 
post to reach the Land Commissioner General, Land Commissioner General’s Department, “Mihikatha 
Medura”, No. 1200/06, Rajamalwatta Road, Battaramulla, on or before 05 October 2026. Applications 
received after the closing date will be rejected.
(c)	 It is mandatory to clearly indicate 'Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment of Officers to Grade III 
of the Post of Superintendent of Works in Supervisory Management Assistant Technical Service Category 
of the Land Commissioner General’s Department - 2026' on the top left-hand corner of the envelope enclosing 
the application.
(d)	 The applicant’s signature on both the application and the admission card must be attested by a person authorized 
to attest signatures. In the case of Officers currently serving in the public service or provincial public service, 
the signature must be attested by the relevant Head of Department or an Officer authorized to act on his or her 
behalf. For all other applicants, the signature must be attested by a Justice of the Peace, Commissioner for Oaths, 
Attorney-at-Law, Notary Public, Principal of a Government School, an Officer holding a permanent staff-grade 
position in the public service, a commissioned Officer of the tri-forces, or a gazetted officer of the Police Service.
11.	 Admission to the Examination
(a)	
Admission cards will be issued by the Head of the institution conducting the examination to candidates who fall 
within the prescribed age limits and who have submitted duly completed applications, together with the relevant 
receipt for payment of the prescribed examination fee, on or before the closing date for the acceptance of 
applications. The issuance of admission cards will be based on the presumption that only candidates who possess 
the qualifications specified in the Gazette notification have applied. A notice will be published on the website of the 
Land Commissioner General’s Department (www.landcom.gov.lk) immediately after the admission cards have been 
issued. Any candidate who does not receive an admission card may make inquiries in the manner specified in that 
notice. Candidates appearing for the examination must produce their duly attested admission cards to the Supervisor 
of the Examination Centre. Candidates who fail to produce their admission cards will not be permitted to sit for the 
examination. The duly attested admission card must be handed over to the Examination Supervisor on the first day 
the candidate appears for the examination.
