HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICAL COUNCIL
​Recruitment to the Post of Homoeopathic  Medical Officer at the Homoeopathic Medical Council
​APPLICATIONS are invited from Sri Lankan citizens who possess the following qualifications for recruitment to the post 
of Homoeopathic Medical Officer for new government Homoeopathic medical clinics to be established by the Homoeopathic 
Medical Council.
​01.	 Post	
:-	
Homoeopathic Medical Officer
02.	 Nature of Appointment	 :-	
Permanent.  Entitled to Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees' Trust Fund 
(ETF) benefits.
03.	 Salary Scale	
:-	
Service Category Code and Monthly Salary Scale (MM 1-1-2016: Rs. (53,175 - 
10×1,375 - 15×1,910 - 95,575/-)
​04.	 Required Qualifications	 :-	
Possession of a degree in Homoeopathic Medicine obtained after completing a degree 
course of not less than five and a half (5½) years duration at a local or foreign university 
recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.

Completion of a full-time diploma course of not less than four (04) years in Homoeopathic 
Medicine from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission of 
Sri Lanka, along with three (03) years of professional experience thereafter.

And
	
	
	
​Completion of at least one (01) year of internship training and registration as a 
Homoeopathic Physician in the Homoeopathic Medical Council.
	
	
	
Possession of at least one (01) year of professional experience (in medical clinical 
practice) at a local or foreign hospital, institution, or clinic. (This must be proven by a 
patient register of those treated along with the official seal of the head of the institution 
confirming service at the said institution, or if it is a privately run institution, it must be 
confirmed by a certificate from the Divisional Secretary of the relevant area where the 
institution was operated.
05.	 Age Limit	
:-	
Should be not less than 25 years and not more than 50 years of age.

:-	
Every applicant,
	
	
I.	 Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
	
	
II.	 Must possess the physical and mental fitness required to properly perform the 
duties assigned to the post as well as to serve in any part of the island.
	
	
III.	 Must possess an excellent character.
​07.	 Recruitment Procedure	 :-	
Recruitment will be made in order of merit based on the results of a structured interview 
conducted by a board appointed by the appointing authority.
​08.	 Date of Eligibility

Qualifications required for appointment to the service/post will be considered valid 
only if the applicant has fulfilled all requirements specified in paragraphs 04, 05, and 06 
by the closing date for applications.
