must be clearly included in one's own handwriting. Applications that do not comply with the specimen 
application or are incomplete will be rejected without prior notice. Keeping a copy of the relevant application 
form will be useful. No document or copy thereof should be attached to the application form.
	
VI.	 Receipt of applications will not be acknowledged. On the preliminary assumption that only those who fulfill 
the qualifications mentioned in the examination notification have applied, a notice will be published on the 
official website of the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (www.slida.lk) by the Director 
General of the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration as soon as examination admission cards are 
issued to applicants who have correctly completed and forwarded their applications along with the relevant 
receipt, having paid the prescribed examination fee on or before the closing date of applications specified in 
the notification. If there is a candidate who has not received the admission card even after 02 or 03 days have 
elapsed since the publication of the notice, inquiries can be made from the Examination Branch of the Sri Lanka 
Institute of Development Administration via telephone numbers 011-5980264 or 011-5980255 from 8:30 a.m. 
to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays, as mentioned in the advertisement. In making such an inquiry, the applicant must 
correctly state the name of the examination applied for, the applicant's full name, National Identity Card number, 
and address. When making such an inquiry, it will be useful to keep ready the copy of the application form 
retained by oneself, the copy of the receipt obtained upon payment of the examination fee, and the registration 
receipt received when posting the application, to verify any information requested by the Sri Lanka Institute of 
Development Administration. Furthermore, a short message (SMS) will be forwarded by the Sri Lanka Institute 
of Development Administration to all examination candidates to whom examination admission cards have been 
issued.
	
VII.	 Officers currently employed in the Public Service / Provincial Public Service, or State Corporations must 
forward their applications through their respective Heads of Departments / Institutions. It is mandatory for 
every applicant to have their signature attested before appearing for the examination. An applicant appearing 
for the examination from an institution must have their signature attested by the Head of the institution where 
they are employed. Other applicants must have their signature attested by a Head of a Government School / 
a retired principal, the Grama Niladhari of the division, a Justice of the Peace, a Commissioner for Oaths, an 
Attorney-at-Law, a Public Notary, a Commissioned Officer of the Armed Forces, an officer holding a permanent 
staff-grade position in the Government or Local Government service drawing an annual consolidated salary of 
Rs. 240,360/- or above, the Chief Incumbent or Chief Priest of a Buddhist temple, or a person holding a position 
of significant status among the clergy in charge of any other religious place of worship.
	
VIII.	 With the approval of the Public Service Commission, the authority to postpone or cancel the examination is 
vested with the Director General of the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration. 
13.	
Admission to the Examination:
	
I.	
Admission cards will be issued by the Director General of the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration 
to candidates who have submitted applications that are complete in every respect. A candidate who fails to 
present their admission card will not be permitted to sit for the examination.
	
II.	
A candidate must sit for the examination at the examination hall assigned to them. Every candidate must hand 
over their relevant admission card, with their signature duly attested, to the Supervisor of the hall on the very 
first day they present themselves at that designated examination hall.
	
	
Note: The issuance of an examination admission card to a candidate shall not be considered as an acceptance 
that he or she has fulfilled the qualifications to appear for the examination.
	
III. 	 Candidates must prove their identity in the examination hall for every subject they sit for, to the satisfaction of 
the Supervisor. Only one of the following documents will be accepted for this purpose:
	
i.	 National Identity Card issued by the Department of Registration of Persons
	
ii.	 Valid Passport
	
iii.	 Valid Sri Lankan Driving License
