13.4	
The detailed marking scheme is as follows:
	
(i)	 Additional Educational Qualifications (20 Marks)
	
	 A maximum of 20 marks for educational qualifications higher than the prescribed educational 
qualification.
1.	 Holding an Honors Degree from a recognized university	
— 20 Marks
2.	 Holding a General Degree from a recognized university	
— 15 Marks
3.	 Holding an NVQ Level 04 or higher certificate in any field	
— 10 Marks
4.	 Passing 03 subjects at the G.C.E. (A/L)	
— 05 Marks
	
(ii)	 Leadership and Other Community Services (20 Marks)
	
(iii)	 Sports Skills
A maximum of 15 marks will be awarded for either achievements gained in sports such as Cricket, 
Rugby, Boxing, Karate, Gymnastics, Athletics, or holding certificate on cadet training, under only one 
category.
First place at National Level	
-  30 Marks
First place at District Level	
-  30 Marks
First place at Divisional Level	 - 10 Marks
Other Certificates	
- 05 Marks
(Marks will be awarded proportionally for second and third places.)
	
(iv)	 Language Knowledge and Information Technology Knowledge (25 Marks)
	
	 In addition to the language medium mentioned under sub-number 05 (b) above for qualifying to sit for 
this competitive examination, marks will be awarded for certificates presented by the applicant at the 
interview for other language media mentioned therein, at 05 marks per language, subject to a maximum 
of 10 marks for both languages.
	
(v)	 Performance Shown at the Interview (05 Marks)
	
	 Note: Participation in interviews shall not be considered as completing qualifications for the grant of 
appointment.
13.5	 The Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration will take steps to inform all applicants who sat for the 
examination of their individual results or to publish them on the official website of the Sri Lanka Institute of 
Development Administration.
14.	
In the event of any inconsistency or divergence between the language texts of this notification published in Sinhala 
and Tamil media, the Sinhala medium notification shall prevail.
