(c)	 The signature of the applicant in the application 
as well as in the admission card for the 
examination must be certified by a Principal 
of a Government School, Justice of the Peace, 
Commissioner for Oaths, Attorney-at-Law, 
Notary Public, Commissioned Officer of the 
Armed Forces, Gazetted Officer of the Police 
Service, or a Staff Grade Officer holding a 
permanent post in the Government Service.
	
(d)	 Incomplete applications will be rejected. No 
complaint regarding the loss or delay of an 
application in the post will be considered.
	
(e)	 Receipt 
of 
applications 
will 
not 
be 
acknowledged.
	
	 As soon as admission cards for the written 
examination are issued to applicants, a 
notification will be published in the newspapers 
and on the official website of the Sri Lanka 
Institute of Development Administration. If 
the admission card is not received even after 
2 or 3 days from the publication of the notice, 
it should be reported to the Sri Lanka Institute 
of Development Administration as mentioned 
in the announcement. When making such an 
inquiry, the name of the examination applied 
for, full name of the applicant, address, and 
National Identity Card number must be stated. 
If the applicant is outside Colombo, it will be 
more effective to send a written request stating 
those details along with a fax number to send 
a copy of the admission card via fax to the fax 
number mentioned in the notice. Furthermore, 
to verify any required information requested 
by the Sri Lanka Institute of Development 
Administration, it will be useful for the 
applicant to keep ready the copy of the 
application retained, copy of the receipt related 
to the exam fee, and the registered post receipt 
obtained when posting the application.
08.	
Sitting for the Examination -
(a)	
Admission cards will be issued by the Sri Lanka 
Institute of Development Administration to 
applicants who fall within the age limit mentioned 
in the notification, who have paid the prescribed 
examination fee on or before the closing date of 
applications, and who have submitted accurately 
completed applications along with the relevant 
receipt, under the pre-assumption that only those 
possessing the qualifications specified in the 
Gazette notice have applied. An applicant who 
does not present their admission card will not be 
allowed to sit for the examination.
b) 	
An applicant must sit for the exam at the 
examination hall assigned to them. Every 
applicant must submit the admission card 
relevant to the prescribed exam session, with 
their signature certified, to the Supervisor on the 
first day of appearing in that session. A set of rules 
to be followed by every applicant is published 
at the beginning of this Gazette. Applicants are 
subject to the rules and regulations laid down 
regarding the conduct of the examination and the 
release of results. If those rules and regulations 
are violated, they will be subject to any penalty 
imposed by the Director General of the Sri Lanka 
Institute of Development Administration.
Note - The issue of an admission card to an 
applicant shall not be considered as an acceptance 
that he/she has sat for the examination or fulfilled 
the qualifications for the post.
09.	 Identity of Applicants -
An applicant must prove their identity in the 
examination hall to the satisfaction of the Examination 
Hall Supervisor in respect of every subject they appear 
for. Only the following identity documents will be 
accepted for this purpose:
(a)	 National Identity Card
(b)	 Valid Passport
(c)	 Valid Driving License
10.	 Penalty for Providing False Information -
If it is disclosed that an applicant lacks qualifications, 
their candidacy may be canceled at any stage prior to 
the examination, during the examination, or after the 
examination.
11.	 Matters not provided for in these regulations will be 
dealt with as decided by the Secretary, subject to the 
instructions of the Public Service Commission.
