09. 	 Training
	
	The applicants who have obtained highest marks 
according to the list of merits among those who 
passed the background check and the medical test 
will be called for the training on a date specified by 
the Inspector General of Police as per the number of 
approved vacancies. This training will be held at the 
Sri Lanka Police College.
10.	 Conditions of the Appointment
	
This post is not pensionable. You should contribute 
to the Public Service Provident Fund. The amount 
payable will be announced by the government from 
time to time. 
11. 	 Service Conditions 
	
I.	 Should be subject to the provisions of 
Establishments Code, Financial Regulations, 
Circulars of Public Service Commission, 
National 
Police 
Commission, 
Public 
Administration Circulars, Treasury circulars, 
Police Orders, and provisions of Instruction 
Codes and Hand Books of Sri Lanka Police.
	
II.	 If any Officer of direct recruitment intends to 
resign from the post, they should sign a bond 
giving their consent to pay all the stipulated 
expenses, should there be any that had been 
spent for his/her training and other expenses 
including uniforms at the time he/she is handing 
over the resignation letter. Measures will be 
taken as per the provisions of Establishments 
Code regarding the resignation.
12.	 Applicants should upload a passport-sized colour 
photograph taken against a white background and 
copies of the following documents while filling the 
application:
 
(a)	 Birth Certificate
(b)	 National Identity Card
(c)	 Certificates to verify educational qualifications
(d)	 Valid Driving License
(e)	 Certificates to verify professional qualifications
(f)	 Certificates to confirm experience
(g)	 A letter of resignation/discharge if you have left 
public service or the armed services.
13.	 Applicants who are already in the public service when 
forwarding their applications should upload a letter 
prepared in accordance with the Point No. 16 of the 
application along with the signature and official stamp 
of the Head of the Institution. 
Note :-	 Travelling or any other expense will not be paid 
by the Sri Lanka Police to the applicants who are 
called for interviews and tests.
