Post of Reserve Assistant Superintendent of Police 
(Male/Female)
(UNDER RESERVE SERVICE AND ON 
SECONDMENT BASIS) 
APPLICATIONS are invited from the citizens of Sri 
Lanka for recruitment to the following Post of Probationary 
Assistant Superintendent of Police (Male/Female) on 
secondment basis (from government employed Officers) 
and under Reserve Service of Sri Lanka Police.
(a)	 Post of Information Technology
(b)	 Post of Architect 
(c)	 Post of Architectural Draughtsman
(d)	 Post of Electrical Engineer
(e)	 Post of Civil Engineer
(f)	 Post of Telecommunication Engineer 
	
	 	
02. 	Applications should be forwarded before 30.09.2026 
having completed only through online after accessing 
the application form by scanning the following QR 
Code or by clicking the "join us" option after visiting 
www.police.lk website. No application should be 
forwarded by post. The applicant should bring a copy 
of the application forwarded online when arriving for 
the preliminary Test (The applicant should have placed 
his/her signature on the copy). 
03.	 Should there be any adverse situation arising from 
delaying the application until submission, it shall be 
borne by the applicant.
(a) 	 In case of any discrepancy or inconsistency 
between the Sinhala, Tamil, and English 
languages 
​of 
this 
notification, 
the 
notification in Sinhala medium shall 
prevail.
(b)	 Participating in the interview should not 
be deemed as a fulfilment of qualifications 
to be appointed to the post. 
(c) 	 Any matter which is not mentioned herein 
shall be determined by me.
(d) 	 This Gazette shall cease to be in force once 
the recruitments are made on priority 
basis based on the existing vacancies in the 
post.
(g)	 Interviews will be held based on the order 
in which applications are received.
04. 	 Salary Scale
	
As per Schedule II of the Public Administration 
Circular bearing No. 10/2025 dated 25.03.2025, the 
monthly salary scale entitled to this post is Rs. 82,150 
– 10 X 2,400 – 8 X 2,940 – 17 X 3,900 – 195,970.
	
Salary Code - SL 1 - 2025
	
As per the schedule III of the circular, the amount paid 
for the year 2026 is Rs. 74,438/-. The amount paid as of 
01.01.2027 is Rs. 82,150/-.
(a)	 Allowance of 22% of basic salary + Rs. 1,250/-
(b)	 Executive allowance (As per P.A.C. No. 
18/2015(V))
(c)	 Arduous Duty Allowance	
Rs. 2,000.00
(d) 	Cost of living allowance	
Rs. 17,800.00
(e)	 Food and Lodging Allowance	 Rs. 34,800.00

(i)	 Should have obtained a Degree in Computer 
Science or Bachelor of Science Degree with 
passing Computer Science as a subject from 
a University recognized by the University

certificates having fulfilled the academic 
requirements recognized by the University 
Grants Commission as a qualification 
equivalent to the degree mentioned in (i) 
above.

Degree in Architecture from a University 
recognized
