First, Second and Third Efficiency Bar 
Examinations Prescribed for the Development 
Officers' Service - 2024(II)2025
Paragraph 5.0 of the examination notification for the "First, 
Second and Third Efficiency Bar Examinations prescribed 
for the Development Officers' Service - 2024(II)" published 
in the Gazette of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri 
Lanka No. 2,458 dated 10.10.2025 is hereby amended as 
follows. 
5.0	 New applicants must be completed the application 
for this examination via online. For that, the 
relevant examination application can be completed 
by visiting the official website of the Sri Lanka 
Institute of Development Administration www.
slida.lk and using the "Apply for Examinations" 
extension. The last date for receipt of applications 
is extended to 04th of September, 2026 and the 
completion of the examination application can be 
done only between 8.00 am on 15th of August 2026 
and 12.00 midnight on 04th of September 2026. 
This examination will be held in November 2026.
	
Furthermore, candidates who previously submitted 
applications for this examination please be 
informed that you can access the system directly 
via the extension htttps://examinationportal.slida.
lk/app/applied-exams and obtain information about 
the application status using the user account you 
have created.
	
The application status is defined as follows:
	
I.	 Approved - The application has been approved 
and no further action is required.
	
II.	 Draft - Any deficiencies or incomplete 
information in the application should be revised 
and resubmitted.
	
III.	 Reject - The application has been rejected, and 
for the reasons stated in the system.
	
a.	 Payment related issues - Submit a 
confirmation 
of 
correct 
payment 
(photocopy 
of 
payment 
receipt) 
to 
doeb2025@slida.gov.lk by e-mail with the 
name and appointment number (e.g. - A. 
B. C. D. Perera - CS/DOS/00001) as the 
subject.
	
b.	 Applications submitted by selecting the 
wrong examination - Applications should 
be submitted by selecting the correct 
examination again and submit a new 
application along with the previously 
paid receipt. (eg. Grade I officers of the 
Development Officer Service III Efficiency 
Bar Examination, Grade II officers of the 
Development Officer Service II Efficiency 
Bar Examination, Grade III officers of the 
Development Officer Service I Efficiency 
Bar Examination).
	
c.	 Promotion related issues - Officers who 
have not been promoted cannot apply 
under the relevant P.S.C. Circular No. 
02/2023.
